Singapore has come a long way since the days of franchised labels and S$1 slabs of mint chocolate wedged between two cracker slices. Our tastebuds have become increasingly fussy, and these days, only freshly churned options with no artificial flavourings can meet our mark.
We reckon this is because we’ve been spoilt by all the fantastic local brands on our shores that serve only the best. Here, we’ve gathered a list of artisanal ice-cream joints that are delivering some sweet relief to your door.

Ice cream can hardly be considered healthy. What brands like Kind Kones have done, however, is to flip this idea on its head by creating vegan free, au naturale, treats that are free from dairy, refined sugar, soy and other artificial ingredients. Yes, the flavours still taste amazing.
Choose between refreshing varieties like the Pink Guava & Lychee and Watermelon Strawberry Mint, or the indulgent mix of Peanut Buttercup and the Cranberry Snickerdoodle. Here, you can even choose to add on waffle cones and cookies to zhush up your ice cream. Delivery is free for orders above S$100, otherwise, a fee of S$10 applies.
We might not be able to head to Italy anytime soon, but we’re just glad we can at least pretend we’re sun tanning along the Amalfi Coast with one of Dopa Dopa Creamery’s gelatos on hand. Although they only have less than 10 flavours per day, each is lovingly made with the freshest, most natural ingredients they can find.
Drop them a text between 12pm and 6pm on weekdays to find out what flavours are available and what the shipping fee to your area will be like. Deliveries will happen every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12pm to 6pm. With a minimum purchase of four tubs, free island-wide delivery applies. Head to their Facebook page here for more updates.
Classic flavours are great, but sometimes they can get a little too…vanilla. Here at Tom’s Palette, you’ll find flavours so out of the ordinary, you really don’t know where to start. From the breakfast-like Soya-bean dough fritters (yes, this is an actual ice-cream flavour) to the beloved White Chocolate Nori and the minty Pi Pa Gao, one thing’s for sure: you’ll never be bored of their unorthodox inventions.
If you’ve got others in the family with more conventional tastebuds, Tom’s Palette is also home to flavours like the Apple Pie, Hojicha and Rum & Raisin. Their menu changes weekly, so if you like the flavours of that week, grab them while you still can. Delivery is free for orders above S$54, otherwise, a fee of S$11 applies.
From the team behind Savuer comes Bread & Butterfly, an artisanal ice-cream parlour that champions fresh ingredients like herbs, spices, fruits and nuts. Pair the beautifully perfumed lavender cones with any of their 10 unique flavours.
The sweet and tangy Strawberry Tomato Sorbet is perfect for hot summer nights, while the thick Pistachio and Candied Pecan is great any time of the day. Islandwide delivery is available.
Birds of Paradise gained popularity with their trendy floral aesthetics and botanical-inspired gelatos. Before the circuit breaker, you would have found snaking queues at their Jewel Changi and Katong branches, but now they’re bringing their sweet treats to your home.
The aromatic White Chrysanthemum and dense Midnight Gianduja are crowd favourites, while the Spiced Pear is a fragrant option that’s reminiscent of a warm Christmas evening. There is a minimum order of three pints.
If you’re a chocolate fanatic, you cannot miss out on the pints at The Dark Gallery. Although they do churn our other fantastic options like Red Velvet and Genmaicha, it’s safe to say that the chocolate flavours here are their bestsellers. The Signature 80% Dark Chocolate is best for those who enjoy stronger cocoa notes, while the Single Origin 88% Sur Del Lago Dark Chocolate is exceptionally aromatic, with nuaced hints of brown sugar and malt.
The Dark Gallery also has an Ice Cream Brownie Family Pack available to order, complete with two ice cream pints, four dark chocolate brownies, a bottle of chocolate sauce and chocolate soil. Islandwide delivery is available.
Trust us when we say we know die-hard fans of Apiary who have forsaken lunch hour and made a point to head to to the store for their ice-cream after a 20-minute walk. Its namesake flavour is made with a fragrant wildflower honey ice cream base folded with delicious caramelised cacao nibs, while the bestselling Blue Milk is refreshingly sweet milk-based ice cream that is harmoniously infused with blue pea flowers and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt. Island-wide delivery is available at a fee of S$5, with a minimum spend of S$50.
