Swedish chef and restauranteur Björn Franzén has partnered with Unlisted Collection to open his first restaurant in Singapore, Zén, on November 21. Its location will be familiar to many, as it is set to take over the once-hallowed shophouse of Restaurant André at Bukit Pasoh Road.

Zén will be helmed by an all-star team that includes Executive Chef Marcus Jernmark from the 3-starred Frantzén in Stockholm, General Manager Aaron Jacobson from the 3-starred Benu in San Francisco, and Head Chef Tristin Farmer from Maze by Gordon Ramsay and Aberdeen Street Social.

“The gastronomy of Frantzén is influenced by the simplicity and elegance of Nordic, French and Japanese cuisine, so to be able to open this restaurant in Singapore that is such a cultural and gastronomic melting pot is an incredible and exciting opportunity”, said Björn Frantzén in a statement.

Zén will be Frantzén’s first international restaurant to serve only a tasting menu. Both its ambience and menu will see familiar details from Restaurant Frantzén, but will still boast its own identity when it opens in November. A dinner experience at Zén will take guests through all three floors of the shophouse on an intimate journey that has been carefully curated and plated.

Tables for Zén for November and December will available for reservation on October 1. Reservations for the subsequent months will then be available on the 1st of each month at 10 AM.

Zén at 41 Bukit Pasoh Road will open November 21 2018.
