Art at CURATE 2020

Art at CURATE 2020 will bring together four chefs from Asia’s most prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants at Resort World Sentosa’s CURATE restaurant throughout the year. Finland-born, Hong Kong-based Chef Eric Räty from two Michelin-starred Arbor kicks off the season with his signature and seasonal dishes. Chef Räty is renowned for his intricate blend of French techniques, Asian flavours, and Nordic sensibility, so expect novel dishes such as langoustine with candied kombu and tomato consommé jelly and white asparagus with shirako (milt) béchamel.

Bar Cicheti X Ben Fatto

The middle of February will see two local pasta chefs, Bar Cicheti’s Chef co-owner Lim Yew Aun and Ben Fatto’s Chef Lee Yum Hwa, collaborate on six-course dinners over the span of two evenings. The culinary experience will shed light on four traditional, hand-made pasta shapes that hail from various Italian regions, such as the labour-intensive Lorighittas and shell-shaped Cavatelli. Diners can look forward to a delectable ‘zero waste’ menu that foregrounds the potential of each ingredient. Each dinner will be complemented by Sommelier-partner Ronald Kamiyama’s selection of biodynamic, sustainably-farmed wines.

La Brasserie Presents New Zealand's Finest Lamb

La Brasserie’s new limited edition menu will shine a light on the Te Mana Lamb. This exclusive breed is the product of ten years’ worth of experimentation dedicated to increasing the amount of nutritious Omega-3 polyunsaturated fats in lamb. The culinary world reaps the rewards: the meat, known as the ‘wagyu of lamb’ stands out for its excellent marbling, tenderness, and subtle flavour. Diners can expect delectable dishes such as the Arabica Coffee Smoked Lamb with bittersweet Kahlua ice cream, a bone-in lamb shank, and a rack of lamb with a savoury sun-dried tomato and cheese crust. Streetfood Chefs Series 2020

Auntie’s Wok and Steam at Andaz Hotel will host a line-up of female chefs for its Streetfood Chefs Series 2020. The programme strives to highlight each woman’s take on Asian street food, in particular the cuisine of the regions they’re from. Chef Tubtim Warapai from Park Hyatt Bangkok will kick off the event with her showcase of authentic Thai cuisine from her hometown of North-east Isan. She boasts a proficiency with bitter flavours so expect refined offerings such as Thai beef salad, dried beef (Nua dad deaw) and tofu massaman curry (Massaman tao-hu) — a vegetarian rendition of a traditionally meat-laden dish.

Sky High Brunch at CÉ LA VI

CÉ LA VI returns with its unmissable Sky High Brunch. The lavish weekend party will see revellers dance to tunes from resident DJs and indulge in a premium buffet and drinks spread. Matter of Taste’s wine dinners

The Wine Advocate — the world’s most recognised authority on fine wines — returns to Singapore for the sixth edition of Matter of Taste. The event consists of the Grand Walkabout Tasting, a showcase of over 200 wines; four masterclasses featuring French winemakers; and three artfully paired wine dinners. Dinners on the 28th of February will celebrate a range of unmissable wines. The Nassim Room at the Regent Singapore will play host to a lavish eight-course dinner (S$248) spotlighting Italian Amarones while the eight-course dinner at the Michelin-starred Summer Palace (S$348) will celebrate rare 98 and 100 pointers from the Rhône region. The BYOB Grand Finale dinner (S$158) on the day after will see wine aficionados bring their favourite bottles to accompany a sumptuous 15-course at the Regent Singapore’s Royal Pavilion Ballroom.

The Perfect Complement at Fat Cow

The iconic modern Japanese restaurant Fat Cow will be launching ‘The Perfect Complement’ menu just in time for Valentine’s Day. The establishment was one of the first in Singapore to popularise the consumption of Japanese Wagyu beef, and this season’s offerings don’t disappoint. The highlight of the meal is definitely the famed Awabi Wagyu Donburi. Decide between buttery Tajima and Miyazaki beef variants and savour the accompanying abalone, uni (sea urchin), ikura, and ebi tempura. Such a luxurious meal is bound to impress the gourmand in your life.
