In Good Taste: LaBrezza, Zafferano, and Salted and Hung

We’re still reeling from the magical past weekend, which saw big-name musicians the likes of Coldplay, Nik West, Armin Van Buuren and David Foster gracing our local stages with their blend of great music and showmanship. Indeed, the past couple days were such a treat for our music-lovin’ souls. Next on our radar is guitar maestro Santana’s gig, which is held tomorrow at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, and concerts by Megadeth and Sting in May.

To tide you over for the long wait — especially for those who’re skipping Santana’s show — we recommend engaging in Singapore’s unofficial national past-time: Eating your way around the island. This is pretty easy to achieve, seeing how restaurants are constantly putting together brand new dishes that look and taste absolutely delicious. And there’s no better time than now to start.

Ranging from tuna topped with caviar, to lobster salad, and a meaty offal sandwich, here are three mouthwatering concoctions you need to try this week.

Offally Good by Salted and Hung

The dish: Catering to the office crowd, Salted and Hung has rolled out this lunchtime special comprising a Sanga — Australian slang for “sandwich” — stuffed with fried tripe, beef tongue, oxtail rillettes and pickles. Certainly a must-try for offal lovers.

The place: Located along Purvis Street, Salted and Hung is a modern Australian restaurant that focuses on curing and grilling meats such as pork, beef and fish. Its lunch offerings are the newest addition to its menu.
