Instagram has rolled out a new feature to help restaurants that have been hard hit by global health pandemic.
In a bid to help the restaurant and hospitality industry which is struggling to stay afloat, Instagram has rolled out a feature that allows consumers to buy gift cards, place online food orders and contribute to fundraisers straight from the platform.
The app has always been a powerful promotional and advertising platform for restaurants.
The feature will be shared on Instagram Stories as stickers, and will also be made visible on the profile page. Followers can tap on the sticker to make a purchase. Fundraisers open on Facebook.
Gift cards and food orders for delivery and takeout are now available in the US and Canada and will be rolled out globally over the next few weeks.
