Princess Terrace, Copthorne King’s Hotel

Fans of Penang’s hawker dishes no longer need to fly up to north Malaysia for its signatures as Princess Terrace at Copthorne King’s Hotel has all this and more at its renowned buffet. It’s been around since the 1970s which means the chefs have had plenty of time to refine the recipes. The result? Good ingredients and sound technique to bring you one of the most authentic flavours of Penang available in Singapore.

Robertson Quay is home to plenty of cafes and eateries but Memo Cafe stands out for being a quiet spot in the day. Have a seat outside to people watch as you tuck into all-time cafe favourites like eggs and toast as well a delicious selection of pastas. Those feeling up for a bigger meal can dive into the mains — the seafood casserole which comes with seabass and prawns in a saffron tomato sauce has our pick.
