Mom will definitely be pleased with the five-course menu at Lawry’s The Prime Rib Singapore. The selection of mains includes a Lawry’s classic — the juicy Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef — served tableside with US Idaho mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, whipped cream horseradish and a choice of creamed corn, creamed spinach or buttered peas.
If mom’s not a fan of beef, don’t fret. The pan-seared Goose Foie Gras with 4-hour slow-baked Duck Leg Confit in Red Wine Raisin sauce and the Atlantic Lobster Tail with Pan-Seared Seabass make wonderful alternatives as your mains as well.
For every four set menus ordered, guests will also get to take home a bottle of Miguel Torres Santa Digna Estelado Sparkling Rosé. Diners can also enjoy a neat 10 percent off each set menu for deposits placed before 1 May 2021.
If your mom’s a fan of Japanese beef, then you won’t go wrong with the menu at Fat Cow. After a neat array of appetisers like the Chawanmushi, miso soup and some seasonal sashimi, guests will be treated to four mouthwatering mains — including the tender Miyazaki Wagyu Steak and Fat Cow’s signature Fat Rice. To round up the meal, diners will be treated to a serving of the Burnt Basque de Cheesecake with Seasonal Sorbet.
Celebrate the occasion with Madame Fan’s six-course menu, armed with reinvented Cantonese classics that’ll sure to impress the queen in your life. Guests first indulge in the Steamed Egg with Sea Urchin and Alaskan King Crab, before moving on to mains such as the Braised Supreme Spiky Sea Cucumber with tofu and broccoli.
What better way to spend Mother’s Day than a brunch at Sentosa? W Singapore is hosting a Mother Of A Brunch spread in the island paradise, complete with platters of fresh seafood, premium cuts and local favourites like the Laksa Yong Tau Foo, Singapore Chili Mud Crab, or the luxurious Truffle Tonkotsu Ramen. All mums will also get to take home some of the hotel’s signature W Macaroons with compliments of the chef on Mother’s Day.
Comforting classics await at Yan, armed with a six and eight-course menu for Mother’s Day this year. For the six-course menu, highlights include the Double-boiled Peru Maca Soup with Sea Whelks and the nourishing Steamed Black Cod Fillet with Cordyceps Flower and Mandarin Peel. The eight-course menu, on the hand, will feature decadent plates like classic Yàn Peking Duck and the Steamed or Deep Fried Soon Hock Fish with Soya Sauce.
Rather celebrate at home? Yàn’s take-home six-course meal bundle (S$78 nett per person for a minimum of 4 persons) comes with the appetising Sautéed Black Pork Fillet with Broccoli and XO Sauce, Braised 6 Head Whole Abalone with Fish Maw and Vegetables and more. If you’d like to elevate your meal, the Bundle of Joy Spring Chicken and Yàn Harvest Pen Cai are perfect additions for both dine-in and takeaway/delivery options.
If your mom’s an ardent fan of Italian dishes, you’ll be best treating her to a meal at Prego. The old-school favourite joint is churning out authentic Italian dishes like the Melting Parmesan Ravioli, the Pan Seared Seabass Fillet and the Eggplant Cannelloni stuffed with mozzarella and sun-dried tomatoes and basil oil. Dig into the Cocoa Raspberry Rose to cap off the night on a sweet note.
Bedrock Bar & Grill is celebrating Mother’s Day the best way they know how: with a lip-smacking three-course set lunch menu. Guests will first whet their appetites with a Lobster Salad, generously plated with meaty lobster tails tossed in a mixture of tangy heirloom tomatoes and apple tartare sauce. Then, tuck into a serving of the locally sourced Poached Barramundi or the Australian Wagyu Rib Cap Steak before ending off the meal with a house made Strawberry Tart.
Perhaps your mom’s a local food lover who craves familiar flavours on most days. If that sounds like your mom, then a trip to StraitsKitchen on Mother’s Day is what she needs.
