The Guide has spoken. The second edition of the Michelin Guide Singapore, will be revealed on 29 June 2017 at the Fullerton Hotel Singapore. The highly anticipated list, which honours some of the country’s finest restaurants, will be unveiled alongside a lavish five-course dinner menu prepared by chefs from local and overseas Michelin-starred establishments.

The participating chefs include Seita Nakahara of one-Michelin-starred Terra (which specialises in Japanese-Italian cuisine), Jason Tan of one-Michelin-starred Corner House, Tam Kwok Fung of two-starred Jade Dragon in Macau, and Curtis Duffy of three-starred Grace in Chicago. Chef Leong Chee Yeng of Jade — a Bib Gourmand Cantonese restaurant at Fullerton Hotel Singapore — will also contribute to the menu. The special repertoire will feature classic cuisine inflected with a blend of East and West flavours. It also comes paired with wines curated by Robert Parker Wine Advocate.

The ceremony will take place one week after the announcement of this year’s Bib Gourmand restaurants, which highlights eateries that serve quality food at affordable prices.

Last year’s Michelin Guide Singapore conferred stars on 29 restaurants — which ranged from fine dining spots the likes of Joël Robuchon Restaurant, Les Amis and Restaurant André, to hawker joints such as Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle.

Last year’s ceremony saw 22 restaurants bagging one star.
We can’t wait to see if our favourite restaurants will maintain their stars — or even add one more to their belt. And, of course, we’re already making some guesses on which new establishments will be inducted into this year’s star-studded ranks.
Tickets to the Michelin Guide Singapore award ceremony can be purchased at S$595++ per seat, and the guide is now available for pre-order here.
