Come 9 May, the Capitol Theatre will play host once more to one of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2019 ceremony. Last year, Singapore was home to the iconic occasion, celebrating over 450 industry professionals from across the region as the list of awarded bars were announced, setting the pace for the bars that were spotlighted in Asia for the year to come. This marks the start of a three-year partnership between the 50 Best committees and the Singapore Tourism Board.
“Singapore was a phenomenal host to the industry’s best last year. It is our honour to hold the awards ceremony here for a second year, and we look forward to paying tribute to the best bars in the region against the backdrop of Asia’s leading cocktail city,” said William Drew, the Group Editor of Asia’s 50 Best Bars.
Following this drink-focused ceremony, our city will also stage the Asian premiere World’s 50 Best Restaurants, as well as The World’s 50 Best Bars ceremonies come late-2019 and 2021, respectively. With such attention, there’s little denying that Singapore has grown into a gastronomical epicentre for Asia, and perhaps even one of the great food-and-beverage destinations of the world.
