This year, the Singapore Fête Le Champagne 2018 was held at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa on 1 June. The annual champagne appreciation event, organised by Vitisasia, hosted the world’s best champagne houses under one roof. Despite their natural rivalry, the night was vibrant with the universal love for champagne.
Esteemed guests were treated to a night of extravagance with nine champagne houses to taste from: Gosset, Laurent Perrier, Louis Roederer, Deutz, GH Mumm, Perrier-Jouet, Billecart Salmon, Bollinger and Piper-Heidsieck. They also enjoyed a lavish four-course dinner prepared by Sofitel’s former cluster executive chef Bertrand Valegeas, and paired with tipples from the various houses. Particularly memorable was the main course of wagyu beef tenderloin, complemented with a 2005 Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande.
