The story behind the campaign

Time and time again, we were told countless stories of outstanding individuals. But there were very few attributed their success to the characters behind these individuals. Therefore, the new campaign hopes to inspire everyone to work as a team to strive for excellence.

This is not the brand’s first global campaign. In 2015, Remy Martin launched the “One Life/Live Them” in the UK with actor Jeremy Renner. The campaign defined an individual beyond his/her one talent but a collective of skillsets and many passions. The brand knew then that the future of any company can no longer rest of its laurels. As a result, it chose to align itself with specific lifestyles that resonate with their values and reinforce their brands. Today, the storied brand continues to embrace that model with a new global drive to acknowledge the spirit of teamwork, hence “Team up for Excellence”.

Campaign Creatives

Fred & Farid Parid agency and Brazilian filmmaker Vellas worked together to produce two videos for the campaign. The two short films expressed the House’s desire to team up with family and partners to achieve collective success.

The first of the two films paid tribute to the House’s rich cognac-making history. It documented a sequence of activities that connects the various stages of the process with the masters of the Rémy Martin Estate including Baptiste Loiseau (Cellar Master), Laura Mornet (Viticulture Consulting Manager), Julien Georget (Estates Manager) and Michael Meunier (Cooperage Manager).

“It’s a wonderful project which was made through teamwork. The result is a film which shows the essence of our trades, the passion which bonds us together and drives us, and above all the evidence of working together for the better, the excellence of our cognac”, Baptiste Loiseau, The Cellar Master, quipped.

The second film entitled “Start-up” depicts the vibrant world of pioneering companies. It celebrates the collective effort and commitment to an original idea which comes to fruition.

“Rémy Martin is more than a brand…” says Augustin Depardon, Global Executive Director of Rémy Martin.  “It’s a constellation of talent driven by that rarely-found feeling of belonging to a real family”.
