While some people are contented with watching a race from the grandstand, just as many are raring to get behind the wheel. Some are also happy to be cheering for their favourite team, but others want to be in the winning team themselves. If you’re one of those who want to achieve the latter, these driving experiences might be your answer.
There are a lot of things that you could do this summer, but we bet none would be as thrilling and unforgettable as indulging in one of these. But driving experiences aren’t just an indulgence. Born from the need to train new owners of these exceptional cars, professional trainers provide careful guidance as they push their beasts to the limits.
Even if you’re not the proud owner of a supercar, these events are also a great opportunity to experience the pedigrees, both on and off the race track. Depending on which you choose, you’ll get to experience the serenity of the Alpine roads or majestic Bavarian castles. If you’re the sort that shuns frills, a day trip to Sepang will have your adrenaline needs sorted, and if you want to just stop and smell the flowers (with a glass of wine in hand), the Lamborghini option in Tuscany will be your best bet.
Here, we bring you 5 of the summer driving experiences that have made our list.

There’s a reason why James Bond is always in an Aston Martin — the English company is not only famed for its cars, but its emphasis on the ‘Art of Living’. This three-day adventure will have you experience the unrivalled performance of its cars as you embark on a scenic cruise along the Alpenstrasse and towards Lindau Harbour. On the way, there’s plenty of time to discover the rich heritage, culture and cuisine of Bavaria. A drive to the Oberjoch — a famous mountainous pass with the most number of bends in Germany — is also on the cards, and a tour of castles, palaces and untouched alpine lakes will surely take your breath away, if the Aston Martins fail to do so first.
Where: Circuit of Varano de Melegari, Parma, Italy
When: 26 to 27 June 2017
Held over two days, the Master All Terrain High Performance is the best way to really experience Maserati’s legacy first-hand. Track sessions are recorded and analysed by these professionals as they give you tips on how to better your time. The second day is a more adventurous off-road affair, as you and the Maseratis head over to a nature reserve for more trail practice and at the end of it all, a contest.

Even though you’ll have an R8 Spyder on hand for three whole days, it’s not all adrenaline-pumping action at Audi’s Alpine tour. This is because you’ll also get to grace the roads that accompany some of the best scenery the world has to offer. Power along the Großglockner High Alpine Road in the supercar, where you’ll head into picturesque locations such as the Lienz Dolomites, Defereggen Valley and Hohe Tauern national park. Accommodation is at the majestic A-Rosa Kitzbühel, which sits nestled among the Alps with a killer view to boot.
