Bentley has long earned a name for itself building spectacular cars that not only look and feel incredibly luxurious, but also harness enough power to leave supercars in its wake. Now, the premier luxury automaker wants to take this lifestyle to the next level by finally giving us something that we don’t have to leave outside the house.
Freshly unveiled at the Salone del Mobile Fair in Milan this week is its limited edition Home Furniture collection, and you won’t have to squint to spot the firm’s signature design cues. With only 100 units available, the collection — which includes a chair, foot-stool, and desk — is sure to be an immediate sell-out for not only Bentley’s die-hard fans, but also those who appreciate good design.
Like the car, each item bears details that nod to the firm’s dedication to craftsmanship. The metal frames from the pieces are crafted from gold-plated iron, and liquid gold is brushed over the dark stained oak bits, filling out every grain with gilded prominence. Bentley’s Centenary logo is also etched into the metalwork of every piece — a little easter egg that will no doubt start conversations with guests.
Still, the dark, brooding collection looks not a single bit out of place in a bachelors’ pad or personal study. It helps that its retro-futuristic lines throughout are held together by mesh details that harken back to Bentley’s signature grille.
