If you’ve ever had to make a last-minute hotel booking the day before or on the day you catch your flight, you would know how stressful it can get. Especially when running on such busy schedules, looking for accommodation at the 11th hour would just be the last thing you need. These days, you can book a private jet the way you book an Uber, or even experience your destination before arriving – thanks to virtual reality. With smartphones revolutionising the way we travel, many hotel groups have come up with apps where you can get information on all their properties around the world – perfect for the savvy and modern traveller.

These hotel apps make last-minute booking a breeze, allowing you to easily book a room with the tap of a button, check-in seamlessly in a minute without waiting in line, and have a feel of the city before you even get there. Some apps boast additional features like playlists to get you into the mood or city guides by their top concierges. These hotel group apps aim to serve not just as hotel booking apps, but lifestyle ones as well.
