French audio tech firm Devialet is launching its first ever wireless earbuds, the Devialet Gemini, promising to let you take its acoustic expertise everywhere you go.
The brand is known for its sleek range of wireless speakers it dubs “Phantom”, merging superior audio engineering with compact and an almost minimalist design approach.
Indeed, one of the first things one might notice is that the Devialet Gemini takes some design cues from the Phantom, sporting the same distinctive shape as the speakers. If function were to follow form, then these earbuds too will encase auditory magic.
It boasts of Devialet’s Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology and protected by no less than three patents, blocking out noise when you most need to. It’s also built with Ear Active Matching, an algorithm that will measure the shape of your ear and adjust its audio signal frequency.
All this brilliant engineering and design is nothing without its horsepower and in that respect, the earbuds do not disappoint. It allows for a hefty 24 hours of playtime — eight hours in each charge with a further 3.5 full charges stored in its charging case.
“At Devialet, we create extraordinary products that deliver an unprecedented sound experience,” says CEO Franck Lebouchard. “We’ve pursued our vision of redefining the place of sound in people’s lives through our amplifiers and speakers, and Devialet Gemini – our first portable product-brings us closer to our goal. ”
The Devialet Gemini will be available for pre-order at S$459 from 10th October 2020. It will be available at Devialet retail stores at ION Orchard and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, and from the Devialet website. Launch date to be announced.
