There’s no better authority on the art of living than the French. And although Maison&Objet won’t be showcasing in Singapore this year, design connoisseurs can look forward to Art de Vivre à la Française that takes place from 8-10 March 2017.
Organised by Business France, the inaugural three-day luxury design event comes to our shores for the first time ever following its first successful international run in Shanghai last year. Set in the historic and beautiful Inverturret House on Gallop Road (which was the former residence of the French ambassadors between 1939 to 1999), the event showcases the concept of French living art through a mix of 13 heritage and contemporary brands.
We had a first look at the range of luxury furniture, decor and lighting exhibited at Art de Vivre, and were thoroughly impressed. From a table made of grade 5 titanium that is shaped into the map of Paris to traditional wallpapers that have been given a modern twist, here are the 5 French designers that caught our attention at the design event.
