Gucci fans, you can soon finally deck your chic interiors with all things Gucci. The brand announced on Instagram yesterday that it’s launching its home collection in September. Titled Gucci Décor, the range is designed by the House’s wunderkind creative director, Alessandro Michele.

The announcement came in a series of illustrations by portrait painter Alex Merry Art, and includes a lineup of furniture and decorative pieces that feature the brand’s design motifs, patterns and codes. While it may have set the fashion world abuzz, it probably comes as no surprise to Michele devotees, as he once contemplated leaving fashion to pursue interior design.

Michele’s maximalist motifs and patterns from his fashion collections are reimagined and translated into furniture and furnishings, as seen from an illustration of the Chiavari chair, a Ligurian design crafted from wood with a lacquered red finish. The velvet upholstery is embroidered with a feline head, and clusters of flowers.

“The intricate motifs are embroidered and then hand-applied, a process that takes approximately 10 hours to complete,” said a Gucci representative.

The collection also includes candles and incense crafted from porcelain and produced by Richard Ginori, a renowned Florentine porcelain company founded in 1735. The third illustration posted by Gucci gives us a glimpse of the Gucci Décor scented candles and incense burner embellished with motifs inspired by the House’s aesthetic.
