Since the outbreak of COVID-19, many fitness stars and celebrity trainers have been sharing no-equipment, at-home workouts on Instagram which are suitable to do indoors while many of us are living under a lockdown or self-isolating. Here we round up some of the workouts that have been posted in the last few days to help keep you moving at home.

Kayla Itsines

The hugely popular trainer Kayla Itsines has posted many workout ideas since the outbreak of COVID-19. She’s taken to Instagram once again to share a no-equipment workout, which is ideal if you didn’t have time to go and buy any sports equipment before you started self-isolating. Kayla also adds that if you lay down a mat or towel that’s all the space you need, and she includes the amount of reps and time you need to ensure a full workout.

Gunnar Peterson

Gunnar Peterson has shown his Instagram followers how they can work out with objects they probably already have lying around at home, from big bottles of detergents instead of weights, and a broom to replace a barbell. Peterson does his workout outdoors, but if you’re not lucky enough to have any outdoor space, you can easily take the workout indoors.

Anna Kaiser

Shakira’s trainer, Anna Kaiser, has shared on her Instagram page three lower body moves which you can do with virtually no equipment — all you need is two towels — and all you need is the amount of space equal to an exercise mat. Anna says that you don’t even need to do them all at once, and instead can break up your day sat working at home with one of the exercises to help you “refocus and boost your energy.”

It’s Wednesday night, and you know what that means! Sharing a full arm sequence from my brand new Advanced class, coming your way in the @tracyandersononlinestudio. The song here, written by the soulful, smooth, and oh so cool @sophunky titled “Beauty in the Flaws” is so special to me. Beauty is in the imperfect. The vulnerable. The authentic. Having a picture of perfect with no physical means of processing are two very big no no’s in the study of stress physiology. Our bodies regulate stress through an actual system. The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal. This is how we respond to serious situations. It’s our personal front line of defense. The proper kind of balanced connection, flow, sound, movement, and focus can offer that system the peace of recognizing the truth of a threat versus false complications of superficial insecurities. It doesn’t matter if you have ever tried my workouts before. Just take a breath. Follow me, move to Sophia, and spread the beauty. You don’t need any equipment to do this. You just need to know that you are enough. What you have is enough. Enough to do and be anything you want to be. Don’t obsess over the flaws. Embrace the flaws. And find the beauty in the flaws.
