If there’s only one boyband you should know about that’s making history, it’ll have to be BTS.

No, we’re not exaggerating — the numbers speak for themselves. Map Of The Soul:7 (MOTS:7), the boyband’s fourth (seventh overall) Korean-language studio album, propelled the K-pop group to become the first Asian group to rank number one in the world’s five largest music markets — U.S., Japan, Germany, France, and the U.K.

Still not impressed? Their fans (also known as ARMY) earned the group 33.8 million streams during MOTS:7’s first (partial) day on Spotify, setting the record biggest debut for a group on the platform in 2020.

So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that BTS has opened a pop-up store full of limited-edition merchandise and Instagram-worthy photo spots for their international ARMY who are unable to see them in concerts during this period. Fortunately for us, Singapore is one of the only three cities in Asia that will be hosting the physical showcase — the other two being Tokyo and Seoul.

The Korean boyband’s Singapore store is scheduled to run for three months from now to February 14, 2021, and will be situated within the first floor of Plaza Singapura. As for its opening hours, the pop-up will be open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, and guests (all of whom need to make reservations to enter) will be allowed to stay for a maximum of one hour.

Besides having to register your entry every time you visit, each guest will only be allowed seven visits over the course of the three months.

Those who’ve done their research might realise that the Singapore store is much more compact than Seoul’s three-storey building, but despite its size, guests will still be able to find a whole plethora of limited-edition items to add to their collection.

You may not be able to see the members anytime soon (no thanks to you, COVID-19), but you’ll still be able to get your BTS fix with some TinyTAN merch, the animated characters that are based on the band members. Other than 3D posters, stationery and items like face towels of each of the members, guests can also expect limited-edition Christmas-themed TinyTAN goodies that’ll be released in December.

Notable highlights of the space include the exclusive ON, Black Swan and Dynamite-themed items that will only be available at the physical showcase.

If this all sounds overwhelming, fret not as all the pieces are thoughtfully sorted and displayed according to their corresponding music video, so you’ll be able to find your limited-edition items in no time at all.

While perusing the racks, ARMY will recognise all the interior references to the tracks within the MOTS:7 album, such as the neon wings in the Black Swan music video and a gigantic retro-styled “Disco” that feels like it was taken straight out of Dynamite.
