The first Microsoft Surface Pro X was released last year, a well-crafted, lightweight machine that brought the tech brand’s vision of a laptop-tablet hybrid closer to perfection than ever before.

This year, the newly updated Surface Pro X has been unveiled, complete with an even faster processor and a brand new hue in platinum.

For the uninitiated, the Surface Pro X is the definition of what an ultra-light and incredibly thin two-in-one device should be — built for those who need to stay connected, productive and creative all the time.

Without the keyboard, the tablet weighs a lean 774-grams, complete with an updated SQ2 processor for blazing-fast connectivity at your fingertips, even as you run multiple applications on your device. With up to 15 hours of battery life, one can be sure to head outside for work without worry — your cumbersome cables can stay home this time.

Access to fast, reliable bandwidth to support multiple users in the same location has been a long-standing issue that many of us face. Yet, one won’t have to fret when it comes to the Surface X Pro. Each model comes with LTE Advance Pro connectivity, so that users can have direct connection on demand.

Similar to the last year’s model, Microsoft is making use of the same 13-inch PixelSense display with ultra-thin bezels for a brilliant viewing experience with each use. It also comes with two USB-C ports, a Surface Connect port, a nano-SIM port and a removable SSD storage.

The new colour variant in platinum also comes with new signature keyboards. Users can choose between three new options: Platinum, Ice Blue, and Poppy Red, all with the same built-in storage and wireless charging for the Surface Slim Pen.

The rechargeable Surface Slim Pen isn’t only great for those who require precise control with their sketches, it proves to be useful for those who want the feel of brainstorming on their notepads too, sans the paper and the pen.

Whether you’re out running errands or in the office banging out work, if you’re considering two-in-one devices that allow for ultimate flexibility and mobility, the Microsoft Surface Pro X is an ideal option for you.

The updated Microsoft Surface Pro X is available for preorder from now till 12 October, starting at S$1,499.
