For something so commonly enjoyed, why is coffee so hard to perfect?

Perhaps it’s because we don’t have enough time to make that cup of joe as fresh as we’d like, before having to head out to work. Or maybe we think that the coffee machine we’ve had for years can indeed brew our beloved beverage as well as it did that first time.

The new Philips 3200 LatteGo coffee machine will change your mind. The fully automated espresso machine is Philips‘ answer to recreating the café experience at home, all without the finesse of your favourite barista. You’ll get to start your mornings the right way — with a fresh cup of coffee that only took minutes to prepare.

Coffee, just the way you like it

Making coffee on the Philips 3200 LatteGo is a no-brainer. In fact, the hardest part is choosing which type of coffee you’d like to wake up to. The machine readily brews latte macchiato, cappuccino, espresso, Americano and good old-fashioned black coffee at the click of a button on its display.

For complete customisation, you can also easily adjust the aroma strength (preserved by the lid that seals the coffee bean compartment), the intensity of the coffee, the amount of milk froth in your drink and how much coffee is dispensed.

Fresh coffee always comes first

If you really want to get technical, you can tweak the Philips 3200 LatteGo’s grinder setting, too. There are 12 options in all, from ultra-fine to coarse. What you choose is exactly the kind of coffee grounds you’ll get; the machine precisely and consistently grinds your coffee beans, thanks to its high-tech ceramic grinders.

Any coffee connoisseur worth their salt would know why this particular feature is important: fresh coffee comes from freshly ground coffee beans, after all. With that in mind, the Philips 3200 LatteGo is designed to make coffee with a deeper, richer and more satisfying flavour profile, for at least 20,000 cups.

Here’s the cherry on top: the Philips 3200 LatteGo is not just functional, but fuss-free as well. It comes with an incredibly simple, 2-part milk system with no hidden tubes, which only takes as little as 15 seconds to clean under the tap.

You can also put the milk system, along with the drip tray and coffee ground container, into the dishwasher for better convenience and hygiene. Speaking of, the machine’s patented AquaClean filter ensures that you’ll get crystal clear water for up to 5,000 cups, without descaling.

If it all sounds too good to be true, let Zenn Soon, co-founder of Wakey Wake Café, prove otherwise. Zenn knows what she’s talking about: she has 8 years of experience in the speciality coffee industry under her belt, along with the title of Singapore’s Barista Champion.

In the video above, she shows us her everyday tips and tracks to making your daily dose of java — and how using the Philips 3200 LatteGo goes a long way.

The Philips 3200 LatteGo (S$1,399) is now available at Philips.com.sg, as well as leading electronics stores, major department stores and selected authorised dealers.
