There are few things quite as beguiling as a lunar eclipse.
The celestial phenomenon occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth’s shadow, creating an enthralling display of nature that’s just as rare as it is beautiful. Little wonder then, that Poh Heng Jewellery has decided to celebrate the allure of this natural marvel with its brand new collection, the ORO22 Eclipse.
Using three stages of the eclipse as inspiration — the full moon, waning crescent, and waxing crescent — the collection of highly polished gold pieces are effortlessly sophisticated, even in its simplicity.
In reflecting the timeless beauty of the moon, the collection is crafted using the brand’s exclusive 22K Moonlight Glow gold. Despite its less “yellow” gold facade, this flattering champagne-hued colour that’s exclusive to the ORO22 Collection has the same gold content as its other 22K counterparts. It also matches any skin tone, and pairs well with a range of looks, making it a versatile investment with plenty of styling mileage.
As a symbol of a new phase of life, lunar eclipse cycles also usher in evolution and signify strength and elegance. Exclusively designed by local Poh Heng designer, Celine Goh, the geometric architecture of the nine-piece ORO22 Eclipse collection — from the drop earrings and tiered bracelets, to the selection of necklaces — celebrates the legacy of confident, modern women who are not afraid to speak up or make a statement.
“The idea first came about from ORO22’s unique Moonlight Glow plating. It inspired me to use the different phases of the moon as a motif, transitioning from waxing crescent to a full moon to a waning crescent. The pattern creates an alluring visual symphony that dances in the moonlight,” said Goh.
The classic designs and purity of gold also mean that they can be enjoyed for decades to come, passed down as meaningful heirlooms to remind future generations of this rare beauty and strength.
