Breaking a sweat should’t be a dull regime. German sports juggernaut PUMA, also purveyor of the performance-meets-street genre, understands it best. And for the first time in Singapore, the brand is hosting PUMA Train #24Seven, a flagship fitness-fest set to give your grind time a leg up.
Slated to take place on 7 October at Suntec’s Convention Hall, the one-day sporting event is sprawled across a 2220 metre square space (that’s half the size of a football field) made up of thematic zones decked with neon lights and pumped-up beats to keep your head in the game. Led by PUMA’s Team Faster trainers and a crop of Singapore’s leading instructors, there are 23 fitness classes available for you to opt from.
The main highlight? Choreographer Mina Myoung of Seoul’s 1Million dance studio fame will be conducting classes as well. If these names sound unfamiliar to you, they shouldn’t. 1Million is the dance powerhouse responsible for several of K-pop’s most wave-making choreographies, having worked with Twice, 2NE1, Jay Park — the list goes on. A spearhead for these projects, Myoung herself is a household name on her own.
Purchasing a general pass (S$55) gives you access to all the main stage happenings, where the Team Faster trainers marshal you through HIIT, boxing, barre and yoga workouts before you end the segment with Myoung’s K-pop Fitness Jam session. Apart from the main stage, Myoung lead an advanced dance class, limited to only 20 participants at an additional S$30.
Looking for smaller-scale, intimate classes? Add-ons courtesy of the Singapore’s best studios, from WeBarre to Yoga+, are available for S$8 per class. These will be operated in five fitness stations: Train, Box, Ride, Stretch and Tone. Train tests your stamina, strength and power in HIIT workouts with Equip Fitness and The Jungle; Box fires your adrenaline with group boxing classes (Still Boxing); take a spin at Ride for a pumped-up session (Absolute Cycle); Stretch for a menu of all-round yoga classes (Yoga+, Ziva Yoga, Ascend Yoga); and Tone for full-body toning classes to sculpt, strength and lengthen muscles (WeBarre, BalletBody).
Top off your sweat sesh with a well-deserved night of celebration at the afterparty as DJ Patrick Oliver, one of Asia’s music scene trailblazer, spins the deck. Whether you’re crazy for crunches, want to relax in a down-dog or test out your sultry dance moves, the PUMA Train #24Seven has got you sorted from day to night.
The PUMA Train #24Seven takes place on 7 October from 10am–10pm at Suntec Convention Hall 403. General passes are ticketed at S$55 with unlimited access to main stage work-out and the after party. Studio classes are available at an additional S$8 per class. Mina Myoung’s advanced dance choreography class is available at an additional S$30. For more information, click here.
