After ten days of cinematic masterpieces and celebrity red carpet at its pinnacle, we’ve come to the end of the 70th Cannes Film Festival. Picking up from last week’s opening festivities, British supermodel Naomi Campbell hosted a Fashion for Relief show set along the French Riviera with legendary models of the past and present walking the runway. Kate Moss, Kendall Jenner and even felon bae Jeremy Meeks made the strut to fund Save the Children.
Another highlight of the Cannes Film Festival was the annual amfAR charity gala. AmfAR supports HIV/ AIDs research, and is dedicated to finding a cure for the virus. Armed with a star-studded battalion, its 24th edition of its gala boasted a high-profile guest list of Hollywood and social media A-listers, and triumphantly raised US$20 million for HIV cure research. The number of guests getting their up-do hair memo was just as successful, with David Beckham and Bella Hadid both arriving in show-stopping buns.
While the long-running Cannes dress code has always been sparkle, shine and volume, channeling a Disney princess seems to be the way to go when doubt strikes. Models Elsa Hosk, Barbara Palvin and the cast of Sofia Coppola’s latest critically acclaimed arthouse flick, The Beguiled, took this route by hitting the red carpet in dainty pastel ballgowns.
With the final red carpets walked, winners announced (Diane Kruger winning Best Actress is major), and the 2017 Palme d’Or awarded (to Ruben Östlund’s The Square), we’ll see you again in another year, Cannes. Here are the parting highlights from the Cannes festivities, as seen on Instagram.
Kendall Jenner along with model besties Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Joan Smalls remade the iconic bathtub photo of ’90s supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington. #SquadGoals.
Stepping out in this his-and-hers Dior look with beau Robert Pattinson, FKA Twigs opted for a vintage, postcard print-covered dress from John Galliano’s Spring 2002 collection in contrast to Pattinson’s movie-star suiting.
“@fkatwigs in archival @dior from @jgalliano’s Spring 2002 “street chic” collection at Cannes. Tap the link in our bio for more on the look, which was made doubly cool by her date, Robert Pattinson, also in Dior.”
Model Barbara Palvin wearing Prada’s pink strapless dress borrowed from the screens of Disney, too — but we can’t really tell if it’s from Sleeping Beauty or Tangled.
Breaking news: David Beckham slicked his golden chop for a man bun. There really is no one else we’d rather see rocking a man bun than the Becks.
“So honored to have @davidbeckham here helping us in the fight against AIDS. If you are inspired to join Becks in supporting HIV cure research, please consider donating via the link in our bio.

Also flaunting a chignon is Bella Hadid. Her ultra sheer gown may be the talk of the Internet realm, but her exposed sharp strands make for a sculpted top knot inspo.
