Fashion’s not anywhere near done with the month of February yet, as brands celebrate the impending spring with new releases, campaigns and store openings. Mansur Gavriel veers away from the safe with chequered prints on their well-loved bags, and Gucci replaces edgy models with giant felines instead. Young designer Simone Rocha also celebrated her first store in the Big Apple, which sees her unique brand of femininity and playfulness shine through.
Meanwhile, fashion week is still going strong. The last Proenza Schouler collection by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez is a tribute to the energy of New York. Public School, however, fires shots at the new POTUS with its “You’re Welcome” city-minded rebellion collection. February couldn’t be more exciting.
The brand’s minimalist bag shapes get a fresh chequered makeover this spring.
