Known for their rocker chic aesthetic, Versus Versace is a label that is filled with energy, youth and life.
For their Fall 2016 collection, it channels a similar rebellious attitude with an utilitarian street vibe, retaining its edgy aesthetics with flirtatious twist. According to Donatella Versace, “[the collection] is the individual attitude of the new generation”. Expect a heavy dose of camouflage and paisley prints in the collection, as well as liberal use of the maison’s iconic lion head motif on t-shirts and dresses.
Whilst still retaining the rock ’n’ roll vibe the house is known for; we see tons of leather, in patent or calfskin, as well as earthy colour palettes and khaki tones, to establish the tough-rock militant attitude. Menswear-inspired pieces, such as loose-fitted jeans and pinafore body miniskirt, were given a rough edge for the ladies, whereas the men’s collection resemble off-duty military bad boys with parkas and bomber jackets.
For this series of Captured, we’ve channeled a spirited energy by recreating a smouldering tension of youth that epitomises Versus’ as an exuberant and youthful label.
