If 19-year-old Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake had worn their Canadian tuxedos in the bad taste-glorifying year of 2017, their double denim look wouldn’t have been so horrendously criticised. With a few tweaks here and there (i.e. Spears toning down the thickness of her jewels into party choker width, and Timberlake ditching that awful fedora), their matching looks might have brought home the blogosphere’s Best Dressed Award.
But as they were 16 years too early for the trend, Emily Ratajkowski beat them to it this week. Out and about in London, the American model wore jeans and opted to unbutton her denim jacket halfway for a shoulder-peeling pizzazz.
Another notable moment from the week will be the hyped launch of Louis Vuitton’s Supreme collection. Pop-ups the world over garnered hundreds of Supreme devotees lining up at the wee hours for a chance to nab the merch of their choice. And although Madonna most probably didn’t have to join a queue, she posted a selfie in the collab’s logomania red hoodie.
From the fresh additions at Paris Couture Week’s kick-off to Lily Aldridge’s gondola adventure in Venice, here are the week’s best fashion Instagram posts you need to see.

If taking out your denim jacket for a day out under the unapologetic sun sounds too heatstroke-inviting, Emily Ratajkowski‘s jacket-to-shirt transformation is one smart way to do it.
“Back in my birthplace ????????”
…and as the sun went down, so did Ratajkowski’s neckline — an after-hours off-the-shoulder spin you should only try if the faux pas risks are worth the double takes.
“Day ???? Night”
Before turning the glam factor up for Bulgari’s Venice party that night, Lily Aldridge and daughter Dixie explored the City of Water the touristy way.
“Seeing the sights ????????”
The Louis Vuitton x Supreme train has arrived. Popping up in big cities the likes of Los Angeles, London, Paris and Tokyo, the special installations drew in massive crowds (go figure) who sought after the collaboration’s merchandise. As for Singapore, the collection will be available in Louis Vuitton’s Ion Orchard store come 14 July.
A new addition to the Paris Couture Week schedule, Proenza Schouler kicked it off with elevated ready-to-wear and resort collections that combined its fresh New York perspective with traditional couture techniques.

Peter Dundas, the former Emilio Pucci creative director, is back, bigger and better. The designer unveiled his namesake label in Paris as part of the couture shows — and it was everything his maximalist fans hoped for.
Miu Miu’s Resort 2018 collection was also showcased in Paris. Held at the Paris Automobile Club, the offering was a mishmash of body repair shop uniforms with Hawaiian prints. The all-star model cast included Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls, Lexi Boling and Slick Woods.
