And yet, here we are. The heritage menswear label from Italy has announced a capsule collection with Jerry Lorenzo of Fear of God, a cult label from Los Angeles, known for refreshed American classics and streetwear designed with luxurious materials — the type of brand you see on the homepage of Hypebeast and High Snobiety, naturally.
Artistic director of Ermenegildo Zegna, Alessandro Sartori, has put his acumen for tailoring together with Lorenzo’s stronghold on streetwear to create a full-fledged menswear line that spans apparel and accessories.
This marks the first time Fear of God has worked with a brand of Ermenegildo Zegna’s calibre, though Lorenzo is no stranger to collaborations in the streetwear territory, having launched crossovers with Nike, The Marathon Clothing, and Vans.
Similarly, this is Zegna’s first foray into the streetwear frontier with any brand. In 2019, the brand released a collection with Maserati, zoning in on causal wear, though that range was very recognisably Zegna. The Ermenegildo Zegna x Fear of God collection showed at Paris fashion week last night, and now, we finally have visuals to share. Here’s a look at the collaboration and some of our favourite looks from it:
