The word “couture” is hardly ever associated with menswear. Unless it’s in reference to Ermenegildo Zegna. For a couple of seasons now, its artistic director Alessandro Sartori has been championing exquisite tailoring for gentlemen of all breeds by way of the Ermenegildo Zegna Group’s most premium line, Ermenegildo Zegna Couture. It won’t be any different this year, what with Pitti Uomo happening right as you’re reading this.

Last year, with the help of Swiss artist Thomas Fletchner, the 52-year-old designer dreamt up a snowy landscape right in the middle of Milan as the backdrop for the introduction of a new fabric, Oasi Cashmere. Who knows what tricks would Sartori have up his sleeve this year? Teasers from the house have so far only hinted at a psychedelic-retro theme, with some bits of travel thrown in between (a staple for Zegna). You won’t need to wait long to find out, as in a couple of hours Sartori will give the green light for the Ermenegildo Zegna Winter 2019 presentation to start. And even if you’re a thousand miles away from Florence, you’ll still be privy to a front row seat right here in the livestream.
