Over the past week, the fashion world was tipped into a frenzy. But it wasn’t because there was another controversial fashion show, nor did the Met Gala come early. It was the wedding of Marc Jacobs and Char Defrancesco that saw fashion’s biggest names descend upon New York.

To catch up on all the fashion news you might have missed, keep on reading.

Marc Jacobs weds his beau Char Defrancesco

There are royal weddings, and then there are royal weddings. Marc Jacob’s nuptials with his partner Char Defrancesco last weekend certainly fell into the latter category, and boy was it a star-studded affair.

Over 700 of the couple’s closest friends and chosen family were in attendance at The Grill and The Pool in New York City. Just imagine being a wallflower at the party as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell play catch-up and the Hadid sisters grabbing a secret bite in the kitchen.

Fancy a game of Mastermind? (Photo: Miu Miu)

The worlds of furniture and fashion collided at Milan Design Week when Miu Miu unveiled a special limited-edition stool. Created in collaboration with the design duo M/M (Paris), the Miu Miu M/Matching Colorstool looks like a game of Mastermind (yes, the logic board game) on steroids.

The stool is crafted from linden wood and comes with 300 oversized match-sticks in 12 different colours. What do you with those matchsticks is to fit them into one of the many evenly-distributed perforations, just like you would in a game of mastermind.

If you want to get your hands on a stool, there are only 300 of them and they’ll be sold at the Miu Miu flagship store on Via Sant’Andrea in Milan.
