To celebrate Hermès’ iconic Carré scarf, the French luxury house has announced a pop-up showcase right here in Singapore, called the Hermès Carré Club. Named after the silk square, it’ll be an experiential showcase held a stone’s throw away from the hubbub of Orchard Road from 19 to 21 October. Think Soho House but with a whimsical twist that the maison is so famous for.

The concept of the club was conceived by Hermès’ artistic director Bali Barret, and Singapore’s edition comes hot on the heels of the announcement of New York’s own club. The Hermès Carré Club in Singapore will feature nine active concepts, but all guests will begin their adventure at the Carré Click and Check, a reception of sorts complete with a photo booth. From there, they can roam around the club and explore the various spaces like the Carré-OK lounge and – for the more adventurous – the skate park.

Art aficionados would naturally flock to the Carré Studio, where eight artists will be on site demonstrating how the Carré scarf has connected with them through various mediums. You can get your portrait done at Keng Saw’s booth, or watch Octave Marsal and Théo de Gueltzl perform a cadaver exquis live. Guests would also be able to name one of the 75,000 colours used over the decades by Hermès for the Carré scarves.

Elsewhere, there is Carré Cut, a beauty parlour that’s set to transform the members with square-cut wigs and manicures in Carré colours. Bring those colours to the Carré Disco where you can dance the night away under a square disco ball. Then, wind down and take a breather at the Carré Cafe that is helmed by local food photographer C.R Tan, who put together a menu of Southeast Asia’s most delectable flavours.

Members can cap off their visit to Carré Club with a stop at Carré Mania, a members-only gift shop stocked with the Autumn/Winter 2018 silk scarves and a special edition Carré Club silk bandana.

Hermes Carré Club is on at 3 Lady Hill Road from the 19th to 21st October 2018, 11 am to 8 pm daily, and admission is free. There are shuttle services operating every 15 minutes with pickups at Liat Towers taxi stand and Plaza Singapore taxi stand. For priority access, register to join the club at singapore-carreclub.hermes.com.
