Hot on the heels of its recently opened boutique at Marina Bay Sands last year, Longchamp has just officially opened the doors of another one at Ion Orchard. Nestled at the heart of Singapore’s shopping enclave, this fresh retail addition is the French luxury house’s largest store in the Southeast Asia region.
Warmly lit and airy, the 2,690 square-feet space is inspired by the original concept of Longchamp’s Paris flagship at Rue Saint-Honoré. With various luxurious elements of marble, wood and leather, the interior of the store is designed as if it belongs to an opulent dream home.
Included in the boutique are ready-to-wear and VIP rooms, of which will host artistic collaborations in the same vein as Longchamp’s eclectic style. Also part of the store is a made-to-measure atelier. A first in Singapore, the atelier is set to offer a service where guests can personalise their leather collectibles.
Tucked in another chamber-like space is an area dedicated to men, featuring the latest collections of bags, shoes and luggage.
The store was officially launched on 9 June with a glitzy party and star-studded guest list, with names such as Ambassador of France Marc Abensour. Inspired by Longchamp’s Sakura motif from the Spring 2017 City Blossom collection, an intricate floral wall installation stood tall at the centre of the boutique.
It was studded with delectable chocolates made and hand-painted by local dessert queen Janice Wong. At one corner, guests mingled over canapés and champagne at a Longchamp Blossom bar, which arranged fresh floral bouquets for them.
