September is shaping up to be an exciting month in the world of fashion.

Besides the fact that fashion brands are gearing up to unveil their Spring/Summer 2021 collections this month, there are also countless collaborations that are now being rolled out. For one, the second iteration of Prada x Adidas, whose new Superstar sneakers will arrive in stores later this week.

Another highly anticipated team-up is Moncler and Rimowa, whose limited-edition suitcase is finally being released. In fact, bags are big deal this month: both Burberry and Givenchy are offering reinterpretations of their iconic handbags that are worth adding to your collection. And then there’s the unexpected, thousand-dollar AirPods cases that Chanel promises are worth your buck.

Are they? Decide for yourself and check out our list of fashion launches worth keeping your eye on this September.

Burberry

Besides reusable face masks, Burberry has just launched a new range of styles for its signature Pocket Bag. The structured tote, which makes for an excellent work bag, now comes in bright colours like blush pink, pale blue and orange. The British label has also experimented with materials this time, introducing the Pocket Bag in a raffia version that puts a playful spin on the canvas and leather tote. The new bags are offered in mini, medium and extra large sizes.

The Burberry Pocket Bag is now available in Burberry stores and on burberry.com.

Moncler x Rimowa

Moncler is set to continue its streak of successful collaborations — this time, with luxury luggage and sunglasses label Rimowa. The pair are finally releasing the limited-edition “Reflection” suitcase, which was teased earlier this year. The aluminium suitcase heavily resembles Rimowa’s Original Cabin design, but it comes in an even shinier mirrored surface and sports Moncler’s logo on its façade. Also, hold your breath for the second, more tech-forward version of the Reflection suitcase featuring an LED screen — that only arrives later this year.

The limited-edition Moncler x Rimowa Reflection suitcase will be available in Rimowa and Moncler stores, as well as on rimowa.com, from 16 September.

Valentino x Birkenstock

If your feet are tired of fancy footwear, maybe it’s time to switch to something more practical. Valentino and Birkenstock have teamed up again to offer just that, in the form of the latter’s iconic Arizona sandals. The everyday shoes have been enhanced with a leather and rubber sole, while its straps and uppers are now covered in a camouflage print. Still, you’ll stand out if you pick the more vibrant of the two available colours: “VLTN Army Green/Brushwood” and “VLTN Army Green/Lime”.

The Valentino x Birkenstock Arizona sandals will be available on valentino.com from 3 September.

Givenchy

Clare Waight Keller has departed from Givenchy to make room for Alyx founder Matthew M. Williams, but fans of the British designer can still get their hands on her final creations for the French brand. Namely, the Antigona Soft handbag, which is Keller’s relaxed take on the structured Givenchy Antigona bag. For the latter’s 10th anniversary, Givenchy is launching the Antigona Soft in an array of special colours and fabrics, including houndstooth, crocodile embossed leather and hand-pleated leather, with prices starting from S$2,650.

The new Antigona Soft handbags will be available in Givenchy stores and on givenchy.com from 18 September.

Chanel

If you truly have the means to splurge this month, you could do so on Chanel’s first tech accessories: AirPods cases. The French brand has unveiled two designs to store your wireless earphones in: one in quilted black leather, inspired by the Maison’s Classic Double Flap bag, and another made of pink tweed — Chanel’s signature fabric. Both feature Chanel’s gold ‘CC’ logo, a woven leather rope handle, as well as a keychain clip to hang from.

The Chanel AirPods cases are now available in Chanel stores.
