Rimowa and the Raffles Hotel Singapore have much more in common than you think. Both are iconic names in the jet set scene, are regarded as status symbols, and have redefined travel over the course of their very long history.

The cult-favourite luggage brand’s latest outpost at the legendary hotel cements this bond, more so with its exclusive collection of travel accessories which are designed to reflect the sophistication and history of the property. Located at the Raffles Hotel Arcade, Rimowa looks not a place out of the distinctive colonial architectural backdrop, thanks to efforts in ensuring the rich heritage of the building isn’t lost within a store full of ultra-sleek travel wares.

The 600 sq-ft store is awash with tropical touches throughout, the most obvious being the immersive palm tree-printed backdrop that greets you upon entering. Rattan finishings — including the shelves — give the store a homely atmosphere, and is a vastly different experience from the minimalist-chic interiors the brand usually offers.

To celebrate this partnership, several store exclusives were specially created. A sprightly green leather luggage tag that reflects the hotel’s lush greenery can be customised with hot stamping designs such as the Singapore Sling or a modernised take on the Raffles logo. Rimowa’s famous stickers are also given a local twist; the set sees five kiss-cut vinyl stickers that pay homage to the hotel.

Alongside this new collection of Singapore-only exclusives is a first look at Rimowa Unique. The brand’s customisation arm will allow you to make the iconic Rimowa Classic Cabin truly your own with a choice of seven new coloured leather handles, matching luggage tags, and wheels.

Other new additions here include the Rimowa Essential Collection, which sees the iconic aluminium luggage be rendered in bold shades of Scarlet and Marine instead — perfect for those who always struggle to spot their precious cargo on the baggage carousel.

If you truly wanted something to remember your stay at the Raffles Hotel Singapore by, or simply want to cart around a little bit of national pride, here’s where you can start.
