After three weeks of shows upon shows in London, Florence, Milan and Paris, Men’s Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 is temporarily taking a break until its next stop in New York on 9 July 2018. Other than all the exciting happenings on the runway from Virgil Abloh’s debut at Louis Vuitton to Kim Jone’s first collection for Dior Homme, we’ve also been keeping an eye on the streets, where stylists, buyers and journalists have been showing us the most fashionable ways to work the hottest items of the season into our daily wear — and it’s actually a lot easier than you think. Take notes as we present standout examples we’ve spotted from the streets of Men’s Fashion Week in Europe.

The fanny pack

This season, most of the showgoers went for a more casual, streetwear approach, and the fanny pack continues to be a favourite for all. Simply wear it over a polo shirt and fitted jeans, then further elevate the look by adding some streetwear accessories such as a cap and chunky sneakers.

The utility vest

We suspect the utility vest is going to be flying off the shelves very soon, with Virgil Abloh cleverly merging it with zipped pouches for keys and wallets in his debut collection for Louis Vuitton. Get ahead and rock one with a head-to-toe striped ensemble, before tying it all together with a cap, sneakers and perhaps a skateboard.

Camp-collar shirt

Judging from what we see on the streets of Milan, the camp collar shirt is definitely not going anywhere anytime soon. Choose any patterned version and wear it over a plain t-shirt, then tuck it into a pair of loose-fitted trousers before finishing off with a pair of boat shoes and bracelets.

The contemporary suit

Who says suits are only suitable for the office? Opt for one featuring a contemporary print or standout hue, and mix it up with streetwear accessories such as a pair of chunky sneakers for a modern 2018 flair.
