New stores, fresh releases and great collaborations sum up the first week of May 2017 in the Instagram world.
Japan has always had a special place in Christian Dior’s heart; he even designed a day dress dubbed Jardin Japonais (French for “Japanese Garden”). Now, Maria Chiuri Grazia takes inspiration from this archival icon for her capsule collection to celebrate the opening of the Ginza Six store. The collection of ready-to-wear apparel and accessories is printed with bold “Jardin Japonais Christian Dior 1953” slogans and paintings of sakura blooms.
Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton works with artist Jeff Koons to launch its latest Masters Collection. Re-creations of greats such as da Vinci, Titian, Rubens, Fragonard and Van Gogh’s work take over the Maison’s wide selection of bags.
