Watch: Celine Spring/Summer 2021 show live from Monaco

The Spring/Summer 2021 shows may be over, but not for Celine.

The French luxury brand has made a surprise announcement on Instagram that it will indeed stage a virtual show for the latest womenswear collection. Instead of Paris, where the brand is based, Celine has chosen to unveil its collection in Monaco — presumably a source of inspiration for designer Hedi Slimane.

The S/S 2021 show will share the digital-driven approach of its recent menswear spectacle, “The Dancing Kid”, which was streamed on Celine’s website, Instagram, Youtube and TikTok — fashion’s new favourite social media platform.

As is typical of Celine, few details has been released about the collection itself, but the brand has shared a teaser on Instagram starring Kaia Gerber. This is the first time the model has fronted the brand under Slimane’s creative direction; her addition to the Celine family comes even later than that of K-Pop idol Lisa of Blackpink, who was announced as Global Ambassador in September.

Tune in to catch the S/S 2021 runway show later tonight, 26 October, at 11.00pm (Singapore time) through the livestream below.
