It’s a big week in Paris for LVMH. Months after announcing swaps and fresh creative leads for three of its most prominent menswear players, we’ve finally seen Louis Vuitton’s new menswear artistic director Virgil Abloh stage his first offering that was as psychedelic as the runway it was presented on at the Palais Royal. Former incumbent Kim Jones was present among the front row’s throes of celebrities and industry insiders in support of his peer, albeit his own impending debut for Dior Homme taking place just two days later.
Happening this Saturday, Jones won’t be the only one debuting at Dior Homme. He tapped on Yoon Ahn — fashion’s girl-about-town as well as designer and co-founder of Ambush — and she will be presenting her premiering jewellery collection alongside his ready-to-wear. These shifts are a lot to take in, we know, but there has never been a more exciting time in the menswear sphere. As for what to expect from the new Dior Homme? There’s only one way to find out. Bookmark this page, you know what to do.
The Dior Homme men’s Spring 2019 show starts at 11pm Singapore time on 23 June.
