Physical fashion shows are rare to come by these days; even the upcoming New York Fashion Week schedule is filled mostly with virtual events.

But Louis Vuitton clearly isn’t one to go with the tide. Instead, the French luxury fashion brand is now setting sail for Tokyo, where it will showcase Virgil Abloh’s Spring/Summer 2021 menswear collection to a live audience. Yes, that’s the same collection that was unveiled in Shanghai last month and stirred much controversy, as with everything Abloh does.

Still, you can expect a sense of newness from the upcoming Louis Vuitton show in the Japanese capital. The brand hints at an exploration of the “unlimited seas of the imagination”, as well as upcycling, escapism and peace. See it all for yourself in the livestream below when the show premieres today, 2 September, at 6.00pm (Singapore time).
