Tonight, Louis Vuitton will unveil its Spring/Summer 2022 menswear show.

As the French luxury fashion brand did for Fall/Winter 2021 back in January, the collection will be presented through a fashion film. According to WWD, the film, titled “Amen Break”, will encapsulate creative director Virgil Abloh’s vision of modern menswear.

Last season, the designer played around with menswear codes like the cowboy hat, the suit, the military jacket and the trench coat. Despite his start as a streetwear maven, Abloh also experimented with tailoring, creating suits with marble-prints, transparent jackets, and slouchy ensembles that leaned towards loungewear.

We’re sure to see a similar collision of disparate influences in Abloh’s newest collection, which will offer “formal dressing and rave gear” alike. Fans can also look forward to an array of monogrammed must-haves, such as the Airplane Keepall leather bag and branded coffee cups that debuted for FW21. Abloh had also launched the eco-friendly Felt Line, which features the fashion brand’s iconic bags crafted from a blend of organic cotton, recycled wool and recycled polyester.

The upcoming fashion film will also serve as the latest platform for Abloh to champion Black creatives. Musicians and writers are set to appear in the film, including rappers GZA and Lupe Fiasco, as well as poet Saul Williams.

You can catch the whole thing when it premieres tonight, 24 June. We’ll be streaming the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2022 menswear presentation through the video below, so be sure to tune in at 8.30pm (Singapore time).
