How to wear: David Bowie boots

Everyone knows David Bowie. But if you’ve been living under a rock all this while, he’s the iconic singer and actor who was heavily involved with glam rock music during the 1970s. His on-stage, androgynous alter-ego, also known as Ziggy Stardust, was one of the flamboyant figures that made a great impact within the fashion industry.

Fashion paid homage to him with the release of chunky platform boots once worn by him on stage. Popularised by Vetements during Fall/Winter 2015, this trend has inched its way back onto the runways as seen with brands like Marc Jacobs, Vivienne Westwood and Maison Margiela.

Chunky boots are surprisingly comfortable despite its dangerous outlook. With five different ways to try out these five different ‘hazardous’ footwear out, its time to break out of your fears this season.
