Since taking the helm at Givenchy last year, artistic director Clare Waight Keller has been pushing out some rather intriguing and impressive collections. Her recent FW18 ready-to-wear line, for instance, made the audience sit up and pay attention, with its dark and sophisticated designs incorporated with faux fur. Following that success, Waight has revealed the brand’s new Zodiac jewellery collection.

As its name suggests, the fashion jewellery range draws inspiration from the 12 star signs. It comprises earrings and carved rings finished in gold and intricately shaped to resemble the zodiac symbols. The earrings come with a black satin ribbon so they can be worn as pendants, while the rings are festooned with natural coloured stones corresponding to the various astrological signs.

Each type of gemstone is offered for about one month at a time. Last month featured rhodolite, in a nod to Aries and its associated purple-red hue. Currently available until 20 May is green agate, inspired by Taurus.

Next in line are chalcedony (Gemini, 21 May to 20 June), baroque pearl (Cancer, 21 June to 22 July), citrine (Leo, 23 July to 23 August), brown tiger’s eye (Virgo, 24 August to 22 September), amazonite (Libra, 23 September to 22 October), black onyx (Scorpio, 23 October to 21 November), red tiger’s eye (Sagittarius, 22 November to 21 December).

For 2019, expect to see the likes of pink quartz (Capricorn), dumortierite (Aquarius), and Russian amazonite (Pisces).

The Zodiac jewellery collection is now available in Singapore at Givenchy’s Marina Bay Sands store.
