After a few delays, the much-anticipated InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay has finally opened its doors. Part of the Robertson Quay Project, the hotel brings 225 luxurious studios and suites into the historic riverside enclave. This includes an expansive penthouse boasting unparalleled views of the Singapore River, contrasted against the futuristic city skyline via floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

The architectural firm behind the building’s façade is the award-winning SCDA, which combined elements from Robertson Quay’s industrial past with contemporary features — such as rich Italian marble, slate, brushed copper, and bronzes.
Interior-wise, the light-filled spaces are bedecked with plush, custom-made furnishings and bespoke amenities such as a specially designed in-room cocktail kit by local bar collective, Proof & Company.

The hotel — which takes over the former Gallery Hotel — is part of a mixed-use development boasting a wide range of restaurant and bar concepts, which aims to be an all-encompassing dining and lifestyle destination. One of the highlights is flagship restaurant Publico, a multi-concept dining destination celebrating Italian culture. It comprises a deli, bar and ristorante with an adjoining terrazzo by the river.
Other culinary offerings throughout the hotel include world-renowned New York institution Wolfgang’s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener, as well as a bar and dining concept from the the team behind Izy Sushi — which serves American-Japanese fare.

InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay is fully equipped for business travellers, providing five intimate meeting and event spaces as well as a 24-hour Club InterContinental lounge. Other amenities include tailored and personalised services, private in-room or lounge check-in, impressive Club rooms, a lap pool and 24-hour fitness studio.
While the Robertson Quay precinct is currently lined with boutique hotels such as The Warehouse Hotel and M Social, InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay will be the first international luxury hotel brand in the area. Located within proximity to but not in the CBD, the hotel offers a more relaxed ambience for business travellers.
