Not many luggage collaborations have gotten as much traction as that of legacy luggage manufacturer Rimowa and Virgil Abloh’s Italian streetwear label, Off-White, first introduced last year. The now-iconic transparent suitcases, although might seem impractical to most, sold out within days.

After a successful first collaboration, the duo returns again, this time dropping a limited edition collection of suitcases — including an opaque version monikered “Personal Belongings” in Rimowa’s aluminium style.

Frequent travellers may be familiar with the pain of waiting for their luggage at the belt after a long flight, only to end up trying to locate a black luggage amongst a sea of other suitcases of the same colour. This, along with street cred, is probably why you would want to invest in pieces from unique luggage collaborations like Rimowa’s and Off-White’s.

Here, we’ve rounded up the most unique luggage collaborations so you won’t lose yours at the belt.

Off-White x Rimowa

After a successful launch for the first Off-White x Rimowa, the brand makes a return as a duo, this time releasing in both white and black offerings.

The all-new white edition is blanked by the same transparent polycarbonate outer shell and is based on the Rimowa’s Essential Cabin S 34L carry-on case. The collection will launch at select Rimowa and Off-White stores and online at on 25 October in Europe, Japan and Asia.

Other innovative features to upgrade your travel experience include Flat-Max Structure, storage area designed to maximise volume for the ultimate packaging experience, Easy Brake System, and recessed integrated TSA-accepted lock that provides secure travel.

From S$470,

Kith x Tumi, 19 Degree Luggage

New York-based Kith, founded by sneaker designer Ronnie Fieg, has done collaborations with various brands, from Versace to Adidas. This time, the brand partnered with high-end suitcase manufacturer Tumi for a bold, limited edition version of Tumi’s 10-degree luggage.

The model boasts a black exterior case made up of aluminium with two TSA-integrated combination locks and four dual-spinning wheels in the same colour palette as the brand’s collaboration with Adidas, at the mesh zip flap pockets.

Fendi x Rimowa 80th Anniversary

One of the most coveted luggage collaborations is Rimowa’s Fendi x Rimowa cabin trolly, launched last year to commemorate the luggage brand’s 80th-anniversary. The suitcase is fixed atop a Multiwheel and Flex-Divider system complete with a black neoprene lining.

The iconic Fendi logo is imprinted on the inside and strapped in by a two-tone yellow web-belt. Those dying to get their hands on this limited edition luggage can choose between three colours and both hold and cabin sizes.
