Owned by Prince Charles, the bed and breakfast is called the Granary Lodge, located on the grounds of the Castle of Mey in the Scottish Highlands. The property officially opened on 1 May 2019 after extensive renovations by the Prince’s Trust, Charles’s foundation.
Accommodation at the Granary Lodge comes in the form of 10 bedrooms — two of them suites — all with different decor styles and details. Guests can choose to stay in an old-school room with a floral-patterned headboard and framed drawings of crustaceans, or one adorned with warm renderings of botanicals.
Here’s the surprising news: It doesn’t come at an outrageous price. One night’s stay at the lodge starts from 160 British pounds (S$280).
