Africa is a country that’s always developing. What used to be a destination for intrepid travellers is now attracting more visitors from all over the globe.

Of course, not every part of the continent is equal. Each country is as unique as the next. From the cultural Morocco to the emerging Rwanda, a landlocked country in East Africa characterised by mountainous landscape and miles of greenery, each country reflects the diversity of Africa.

This year, more hotel brands are opening up properties across Africa. Singita for instance, is a conservation brand that has been preserving African wilderness for the past 25 years. The brand partners with non-profit Funds & Trusts who implement strategic conservation projects in each region to protect pristine land and wildlife populations.

Here, the latest hotel openings in Africa this 2019.

Set to open on 5 August this year in the awe-inspiring Volcano National Park is the Singita Kwitonda Lodge. Once opened, it will be the gateway to Rwanda, the charming city that’s just recently opened up to tourists. Singita Kwitonda Lodge and Kataza House will put gorilla trekking within easy reach, giving guests the option of combining a visit to Rwanda with a classic safari at Singita’s private concession on the Serengeti plains in Tanzania. What more, Singita Serengeti is home to six unique lodges and camps set in distinctive parts of the vast 350,000-acre private concession.
