Uluwatu is a popular destination for Bali visitors, with the iconic Ulu Cliffhouse beach club being the main draw for all-day fun under the sun. Now, the group behind Ulu Cliffhouse has announced that it will expand its footprint by opening a destination that combines laidback vibes with luxury — The Clubhouse Bar in the existing The Clubhouse at Ulu boutique hotel just a quick jaunt away from Ulu Cliffhouse. This new cocktail destination set to take your evenings in Bali to new heights.
This is the ultimate sundowner spot for both resident guests or diners that visit the hotel. Situated atop the soaring cliffs of Uluwatu, you’ll be able to enjoy the picturesque view watching the sun gradually set over Bali. The bar’s iconic mid-century design gives off a subtle romantic vibe with its alpine green walls matched with brass inlaid terrazzo flooring in similar tones. Its exclusive ambience also transforms it into the perfect evening spot — whether for a sophisticated date, an after-party with friends or a late-night pitstop to nurse something a little stronger.
Prepare yourself to be amazed by the creative and experimental drinks served here. The Clubhouse Bar’s quarterly pop-up menus offers drinks created by some of the world’s hottest and most in-demand bartenders. Start off with personalised signature cocktails from Thomas Girard, who hails from Singapore’s Operation Dagger, rated #30 in the hugely prestigious World’s 50 Best Bars.
The Clubhouse Bar also boasts reinvented classic cocktails. These include The Midnight Express(o), which adds a touch of cinnamon to the ever-popular espresso martini, and the Honol-Ulu, a blend of citrus and smoke. There is also a late-night food menu that offers bites that range from rustic fries to decadent grilled cheese sandwiches.
While its internal bar seats eight, guests can also enjoy their drinks al fresco on the outside terrace. Outdoors, the elegant palm lights accentuate the pastel upholstery, with monkey motifs that symbolise the beauty of Uluwatu, though the view you’ll look at speaks for itself.
